Leonora Bunao Obituary
Leonora Castro Bunao of Kapaa, 92, passed away on February 8, 2026. She was born in the Philippines on January 10, 1934 and retired as a housekeeper from Hanalei Bay Resort.
She is preceded in passing by her husband, Fausto Bunao Jr.; sons, Marcelino Bunao & Gregorio Bunao; daughter, Annabel Bunao Ragasa; brothers, Felix Castro, Hilario Castro and Cesar Castro.
Leonora is survived by her son, Leopoldo (Nellie Villanueva) Bunao; son-in-law, Eldegarde Ragasa; daughters-in-law, Cresencia Bunao and Digna Bunao; grandchildren, Catherine (Darwin) Laguit, Erickson (Janice) Bunao, Keith (Shawna) Ragasa, Ryan Bunao, Tyler Bunao, Marc Rodney (Ivy) Bunao, Mary Gained (Reneben) Ea, Diane Marie Bunao, Marc Angelo Bunao; great-grandchildren, Kristelle Dhina Laguit, Kamille Anne Laguit, Kian Darwin Laguit, Jazleen Enrich Bunao, Jaden Bunao, Jade Bunao, Matt Xander Bunao, Mattheus Evander Bunao, Reign Angeline Ea, Edrick Bunao, Erickson Jasper Bunao, Kiawe Ragasa; sisters, Magdalena Osma and Remedios (Ben) Jamias and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 7, 2026 at St. Catherine’s in Kapaa. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM with mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place a Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
